Hello! Let me introduce myself. I hold a Masters degree in landscape architecture and Environmental Planning from Utah State University. During my time in the landscape architecture program, I developed a keen interest in planting design and set myself the task of learning as much as possible about the most commonly used landscape trees and shrubs (and some of the not-so-commonly-used ones as well!).

After graduating, I was fortunate enough to take a job in the horticultural industry, working as a manager at a local retail nursery managing all aspects of the company's trees and shrub operations. In this capacity I have had the opportunity to work closely with some of the top commercial nurseries as well as experience the retail and consumer side of the industry.

With my education and employment background serving as a foundation, I have built this course to satisfy the needs of both horticulture and landscape architecture students. I hope that you find it both effective, enjoyable and informative. Please contact me with any questions you may have regarding the course format or content.
