Synopsis:

Ayrlies Garden is located east of Auckland on the North Island of New Zealand. The garden was started in 1964 by Beverly and Malcolm McConnell, and has since expanded to include 12 acres of rolling land, with vistas out to the Tamaki Strait. Informal in design and style, the meandering paths and open lawns create an experience of exploration and discovery throughout the site. It is recognized today as one of New Zealand's most important designed landscapes.
