Synopsis:

The Heidelberg Thingstätte is an example of a Nazi propoganda theater, or Thingspiel. Several of these theaters were built accross Germany in the years before the outbreak of World War 2, and were used to host plays that promoted Germanic culture and the ideals of the Nazi regime. The Heidelberg Thingstätte was completed in 1935 and was opened by the Reich Minister of Propoganda Joseph Goebbeles. Shaking off its dark past, the Heidelberg Thingstätte is occasionally used for public concerts and other events now.
